Arts Council Funding for Neurophototherapy

Neurophototherapy Square
Sonia Boué’s new Arts Council England funded R&D project will produce a body of work as a photographic self-recovery practice model for neurodivergent females. Her model will be taken forward at the next stage of funding, with a group of participants.

This new photographic strand of her autobiographical practice is a compelling and immersive process, through which she experiences a transformational connection with the neurologically normative world.

During R&D, Sonia will develop a series of images, revisiting, performing, documenting, and reflecting on key life experiences through embodied practice research.

Neurophototherapy will include artist talks, conversations with partner organisations, commissioned critical writings, and participant interviews.

This project sits within an inclusive practice which pioneers in researching optimal support for neurodivergent creatives, and builds on Sonia’s body of publicly funded work furthering Arts Council England’s creative case for diversity.

Neurophototherapy project process and outcomes will be published on Instagram @s_boue and other platforms
